At ACME our mission is to change the culture of care in Australia. We ensure that all our care services are carried out by high level care providers that are skilfully trained and prepared. Our compassion comes from our 22 years of lived experience in ICU nursing, caring for people in all moments of life. This exposure has cultivated deep compassion for the community and has driven our desire to give back by providing the highest-level of healthcare.

Pooja Patel

Qualifications

Pooja’s career in nursing over the last 12 years has seen her gain extremely diverse experience in healthcare. She began her career in Aged Care, where she worked as a clinical nurse. She then gained further experience as a disability support worker. Since then, Pooja has worked inside both the Lyell McEwin Hospital and Modbury Hospital in the high care and ICU departments in Adelaide. Pooja is an accomplished senior ICU nurse and is well respected by her peers.

Now, a mother of two children aged 4 and 10, Pooja has the desire to leave the hospital environment and give back to the community. Through her experiences working in healthcare, Pooja has observed the compromised care that exists in the community. Her desire now is to change the culture of care that exists in Australia. She aims to achieve this by sharing her knowledge and expertise by training more personal care workers to a higher, safer standard.

Kiran Hanjrah

Qualifications

Kiran has been working as an ICU nurse at the Royal Adelaide Hospital since 2010. Whilst studying at University Kiran looked after a young child with high complex needs. Each morning she would go to her house and assist her in getting ready for her school day. This left a lasting impact on Kiran to always learn and give more.

Like Pooja, Kiran has gained a wide range of skills and knowledge, including qualifications as a clinical nurse and experience working with people living with disabilities.

Kiran is also a proud mother of two children, ages 9 and 6. Now, she is looking to leave the shift work that accompanies life as an ICU nurse. Now, Kiran wishes to embark on a journey that gives back to the community and feels meaningful to her. She wants to create an impact in the personal care sector and leave a legacy of great community care.
